Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Wird ("the app") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: the app runs on your device, collects nothing, and works fully offline.
The short version
- Prayer times, qibla, adhkar, and the Quran all run on your device.
- Your location is used only to calculate prayer times and qibla, and never leaves your device beyond a one-time lookup.
- No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Nothing is sold or shared.
Location
To calculate accurate prayer times and point the qibla toward the Kaaba, the app needs your geographic location. This information is:
- used solely to compute prayer times and qibla direction;
- processed on your device — prayer-time calculation is performed locally and works with no internet connection;
- limited to a one-time lookup to resolve your coordinates; it is not continuously tracked, logged on a server, or shared with the developer or any third party;
- never used for advertising or marketing.
You can review or revoke location access at any time in your device's Settings.
Your Content
Bookmarks, continue-reading position, tasbeeh counts, and your preferences (calculation method, Asr school, manual offsets, notification choices) are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.
Notifications
Adhan and prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Enabling them does not transmit any data off the device. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device's Settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data — because the app does not collect or transmit any.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
